Once we gained the courage to drive those hills we found an amazing hotel. Upon arriving We were warmly welcomed into one of the cleanest condo units we have stayed in. We think the linnens on the bed were brand new. The colours were fantastic and carribian fun. What a view!! We didnt eat at BananaKeet but did have drinks.... More

Wonderful view and the Bananakeet restaurant is very good. Beautiful sunset view. Chris was a huge help scheduling excursions and lending suggestions on activities to participate in. Fantastic experience. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are clean and comfortable. Your stay here is about the view, not the room.

We just returned from an 8 night stay at The Heritage Inn, Tortola, BVI. Cannot say enough great things about the Inn, the location, the marvelous staff and Rosa and Chris, all the servers and workers...friendly, warm, helpful-just the A team! Our room was spotless, cleaned daily, and we loved having a little kitchen and a first rate glorious view... More

We had a great time at the Heritage Inn. With just two nights on Tortola, we wanted a comfortable and convenient base, and the Heritage was perfect. The restaurant quite possibly has the best view on the Island, so we ate there both nights, enjoying the sunsets, food, and drinks. Chris was also a great host, and went out of... More

We are frequent visitors to Tortola and the Heritage Inn, so this is an update – and reaffirmation - of a previous review. The Heritage Inn remains a favorite Caribbean destination for us. The freshly redecorated suites are continually being updated; this year brings new, permanent AC in the bedrooms and flat screen TV’s. The staff is beyond delightful; dining... More

We spent 7 nights at the Heritage Inn in early December 2012. The views and sunsets are as wonderful as described in other reviews. We loved the atmosphere and food at the Bananakeet restaurant. It was great to be able to have fabulous cocktails, delicious food, a good choice of wine, hear live music (on Wed & Fri), and then... More

We stayed here for three nights amidst our island exploring adventure. It is located on the cliffside of Windy hill over looking Little Carrot bay to the south and Jost Van Dike due west and the north coast to other. Past Little Carrot you can see a cool surf spot and the world famous Bumba Shack. If you can get... More

Chris and Bunky totally made our vacation amazing. The view is breathtaking and the best on Tortola hands down. The restaurant was great and the sunset view could not have been any more beautiful. The staff was warm and friendly with Chicken, Rosa, Chef Spice and our waitress from Dominica. Chris and Bunky are the greatest, they took us around... More

We spent our first 2 nights here before our charter boat holiday. The view from our balcony was the sort experienced only a few times in a lifetime. Breathtaking and a great start to our trip. The double room with kitchen, lounge was a great base for our 2 days. I would definitely recommend hiring a car to get to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Heritage Inn is just what you want if you are looking for the total getaway. The Inn is located on the hilltop of a sleepy village: Carrot Bay, on the north side of Tortola. These comfortable apartments offer probably the most breathtaking views on the island: "voted Best sunset view in the BVI!" 180 degrees east and west and overlooking Jost Van Dyke, Sandy & Green Cays and three Tortola bays. This locally owned inn is quaint and quiet. Each suite has a private view-facing balcony and is furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and AC king-size bed in bedrooms. Three suites have two bedrooms for family or friendly vacationers. Six, clean and comfortable, one bedroom suites also offer enough space to just forget your cares and hang out for a week. The views are so beautiful that most guests just "gape" for the first few days. In the summer the sun sets directly over the water. It is so beautiful that the locals go up for sunset cocktails at the BananaKeet Cafe on the poolside veranda to watch the sun setting over the awesome horizon. It's no wonder the slogan reads... the Higher you Get... the Better the Views!! ... more   less
