I spend some nights here and although I had booked the cheapest option, upon seeing the other one I decided to choose for the Villa for a couple of nights and then the last night in the Mango Cottage. We had email contact before that and even negotiated about the price of the Villa incase I would like that one.... More

We can highly recommend Gingerbread Hill to anyone who wants a quiet, laid-back Caribbean island experience. The weather was perfect; the trade winds cooling, and the hosts and staff exceptional. We will certainly return. We are ham radio operators who wanted a unique vacation in a unique location. Gingerbread Hill fit the bill perfectly. We stayed in the Heavenly Suite,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Montserrat and our stay in the villa of Gingerbread Hill. The accommodations were clean and lovely and the view was breathtaking! We could hardly pull ourselves away from the swing on the open air porch with the views of the carribean. Each night we watched the sunset, then the fireflies, then the stars and... More

We stayed at Gingerbread Hill six out of the eight days we were on the island. This was our first trip to Montserrat and we loved every minute of our vacation. The Heavenly Suite lived up to its name and was exactly as advertised, there is a very informative video on the GBH website that gives you a tour of... More

We had the privilege of staying in the Heavenly Suite at Gingerbread Hill in October of 2010. Looking at the current reviews of the property, not much has changed. We wanted an "off the beaten path" holiday in a beautiful place, and Montserrat and the Gingerbread Hill delivered. The reservations process was easy, emailing with Clover and Kristina. I had... I was originally booked into the Bunkum Beach Guest House. When I landed, Kristina, who together with her husband Sunny, own the guest house and meet guests at the airport, informed me that, unfortunately, four of their guests had been suddenly stranded because their airline cancelled their flight back to the U.S. due to Tropical Storm Isaac. So she drove... More

Gingerbread Hill was recommended by friends, and it more than lived up to their praise. I had the whole top floor. From the patio and the bedroom, the awesome view overlooked much of the island, including views of the sea and Redonda. There was a very well equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room with TV. David Lea, the owner,... More

I was on the island 7 days of meeting, guest Clover and David. I stayed in the "villa" in April with a colleague. The villa was a surprise: spacious, clean, with all sorts of comforts that you need. The kitchen is furnished with all appliances, living room with sofa and television, two bedrooms (and bathroom) with excellent beds...but the most... More

I stayed in the villa in late January. The first day I could not leave the large balcony with its fabulous view over the blue caribbean at 900+ feet. The villa is very accommodating with full kitchen and strong wifi signal. It also has 120volt ac, which I didn't expect. I hope to be able to complete my oil on... More

We chose this accommodation based on the online reviews (as well the Lea family's video tour) and were not disappointed. This is probably the most amazing place we've ever stayed. My mom, daughter and I had the "villa". It is mostly an open porch, which we loved, with ceiling fans and cross breezes. The views were amazing. The rooms were... More
