Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is in need of a renovation. Our “upgraded” room was anything but. Everything was old and worn out, the sofa bed has missing springs and the cushions were stained. No microwave. The bathroom was small, the toilet was one you’d see in a public restroom with a lid that was too tall for the counter above it, so it wouldn’t stay open. The staff were friendly, but I would not stay here again. It is not up to the standards of a typical Courtyard.

We used a free night certificate for this hotel which was good since the rate was inflated due to a special event. The hotel is located in a residential and commercial area of San Juan away from the beach. The room was small and somewhat dated with chipped furniture and a 32-inch plasma TV that was over ten years old. I often wonder why hotels don’t update their TVs since small 4K LEDs are so cheap. It was fairly quiet even though it was pretty full. There is no free breakfast and a $20 charge for valet parking. To get to the restaurants and shops turn right when you exit the hotel driveway.

Excellent Hotel, Great Connoisseur, they help us setup a nice day out on the Island to see rainforests, east end of the Island and some smaller restaurants for lunch, We stay 5 days, there great breakfast place across the street, and many local restaurants in the moderate range close by, we spend one day walking down to the Beach and local area with a lagoon.

Had just a one night stay at this property, it was pretty average overall. Guest room was quite small and very poorly lit, with a small single pain window only. Bonvoy Titanium member, but the only available amenity is the $10 market credit, which you can’t use towards breakfast as I was told that the restaurant in the hotel is independent of the hotel. $20 parking fee. We had a lot of luggage due to international travel, and the next day of check out I phoned down to ask for some help with it, but was told there is no one to help guests with luggage. Got downstairs to check out to see two beefy looking male employees standing around behind the desk doing very little as it was very quiet and not at all busy. They could have offered to help and I told them so, and that it was disappointing customer service, but was given the excuse that “there was only two of them at the desk”. This would have taken 5 minutes of one of their time to help, but clearly too lazy. I won’t be choosing this property in the future, too many choices in the area.

The hotel is centrally located with a supermarket and a few restaurants located just down the street (totally safe to walk if not late at night - say past 8 or 9pm). Parking available on site but valet only. There are a couple spots to park for '5 minutes' while you check-in but the parking staff hound you about taking the keys and parking the car. This is clearly instilled from management and is totally unnecessary. There are three spots - if they can't be used for unloading/checking-in then why are they there at all sans emergency vehicles or designated handicap loading/unloading areas? Change the sign accordingly or, follow the logical course of action, and have the sign say 'max 15 minutes to check-in/unload vehicle', etc... Street parking is ill-advised. The check-in process was relatively smooth except the key creation process didn't work over two iterations such that the manager on duty had to escort us to the room so we didn't drag all the suitcases into the elevator a third time only to have to go back to the front-desk. There is one elevator in the building so it can back up easily. The 'destination fee' is pure nonsense and just view it as a tourist tax. All the hotels charge some sort of 'resort', 'convenience', 'destination' fee, etc... that can be used at the overpriced snack shop next to check-in. This is clearly a business tactic to extract more revenue out of guests so don't bother wasting time on it. Factor it in as a cost of the hotel. Laundry - worked perfectly fine though the middle dryer took the coins on the second use of it and never started. When the maintenance staff came and pressed the same button for the tenth time, it finally started up. Clearly something wrong with it and I hope they actually investigate to fix it, otherwise best avoid it. Breakfast - no free breakfast for titanium, not even credit towards use in the a'la carte restaurant. Pool - seems fine, water not heated. No obvious kid's section Beach - no access, must take an UBER/taxi. No shuttle service provided.

A major stuff up by Jet Blue resulted in them having to put us up for the night. As there was t much available (must be all the Jet Blue flights cancelled) we were given a voucher for the Marriott. It was after midnight and we were exhausted. The staff were brilliant. At last, customer service. We checked into a room with a large king bed, tv, mini fridge and very spacious. There is something about these large king beds that I love. Maybe because you feel like you’re sleeping on your own but your partner is only an arm length away. Room was quiet and well away from the elevator. Pool looked inviting but we’d checked out by then. Great business centre with computers etc. Checkout was quick and efficient. Even the valets out the front organised the taxi (as we had vouchers from Jet Blue). Apologies for the room photos as exhaustion had taken over.

This is a great place to stay while in San Juan. The hotel’s location is very convenient to the Condado and old San Juan areas. The room was very clean with great water pressure and comfortable beds. Will definitely stay here again. All the employees we came in contact with were very helpful with great attitudes.

It was a nice stay. Very centered located, which I loved since I like moving around and exploring, still we had 1 rainy afternoon and we were still able to enjoy the hotel. The girl at the reception, Tatiana, was a sweetheart and helped us with things to do around.

Great location. Near a variety of bars and restaurants. Decent walk to Old San Juan (doable but make sure you are wearing sneakers, or good walking shoes). Staff as expected, friendly and attentive.
