My wife and I stayed at Astra for one night only many years ago and actually found it okay. As result, when we were in Jamaica in the summer of 2008, we decided to make this hotel our hotel of residence.....................big mistake.

Nasty rooms, no water in the bathroom. You have to request to get the water turned on. Real real creepy. No hot water, and trust me Mandeville is cold. I actually showered in my shoes.
