I can't really say enough good about Hotel Castilla. I am a single female, traveling alone to Puerto Plata for the first time. This is exactly what I needed. I always felt safe, and the rooms are secure. I found myself tearing up when it was time to go home. Thank you for everything, I will be back soon :)... More

Sam's Bar and Grill is a favorite hangout for gringos and tourists as well. It's a historical building, built in the 1890's. It was the first hotel in Puerto Plata. I enjoyed the variety on the menu.
