i don't know what place the previous poster stayed but i found everyone great. it is not a 5star hotel but we were well taken care of. the owner walked us to the bar, introduced us, showed us around and even bought us drinks. i have lived in puerto rico for 3 years, but never visited santo domingo. i will... I, too, was initially impressed that Santo Domingo now has a Gay guest house as an alternative to the Duque de Wellington. I was disappointed from the time I walked in. I just stayed at a Gay guesthouse located near the colonial zone of Santo Domingo that I found on the internet. The owner and staff were extremely nice and and took very good care of me.
