The Hotel is about 6 - 8 min walk to the main parts of the Colonial Zone. Some of the rooms have amazing views of the Water by the Floating Bridge. There's a patio/bar area where they serve breakfast in the morning. You can also hang out there up till like 11 pm I believe. Nice if you want to... More

We had a good impression before arriving to the ¨hotel¨ as we had been exchanging e-mails with we found later on that was the hotel manger, a Spanish gentleman named Paco, who was very kind to us by answering all our questions and extending his assistance. Apartments were very nice inside... very spacious, well decorated and modern. That was great....... More

I have to lower my rating. I planned to stay here every time I came to Santo Domingo, but I find myself looking for another favorite place. I've had two recent problems here. 1. I used their website and reserved/booked my room about 3 weeks before my trip. When I arrived (4 pm on a Friday), they did not have... More

I have stayed in other inexpensive hotels in the country, and this is one of the best. I stayed for three days, and I was able to go grocery shopping and cook our own dinner. They have everything you need in their kitchennete for making a quick meal. Inside the building, it feels secure, but it is not located in... More

I've stayed here before and it is an OUTSTANDING property. The rooms are new, clean and comfortable and the staff attentive, especially Melvin. Yes the location is not the greatest and it is a short walk from the Colonial Zone, but I was warned not to walk there at night and I didn't. All you need to do is tell... More

I've recently stayed at the Hostal for a six-day trip. The Hostal is pretty isolated and I have to agree with the other writer, taxis had a hard time finding it. The Hostal itself is pretty clean, although there was a strong musty odor in most of the halls--nothing too bad, but noticable. The rooms are huge. I had a... More

The hostal is definitely a hotel: the rooms are enormous with a kitchenette, air conditioning, fan, sofa, dining table and our room had a great view of the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just over the bridge from the historical centre but it's new and the taxi drivers from the bus station werent sure... More

Review for Hostal Marina Real Facilities and Amenities This is a very clean , secure, and spacious hostel. The rooms are very comfortable with modern décor and the kitchen area is extremely functional for all of your cooking needs (barring an oven of course) Location; The hostel is located across the river from the Colonial Zone in an area known... If you are looking for a modern hotel with a boutique style, well this is the place for you. The staff is very professional and friendly. Security is tight! and you will love the views of the city from the hotel lounge or your room. Additionally, the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast so you get a great value for your... More

I tried to leave a review back when I first stayed there, but was unable to... Anyway this hotel has NOTHING to do with a hostal except for it's name. It can stand proudly with any 5 star hotel in the capital. The rooms are set up like a studio loft apartment with a kitchen dining area, living area w... More
