What we disliked: - airconditioning did not work in first room - ants in the room and in the bed - moulded bathroom ceilings and bathroom windows - dirty towels - power sockets falling out of the walls - power sockets installed IN the shower??? - water flowing out of the ceiling in our second room - lizzards and ants... My fiancé and I stayed here for one night at the end of our trip and were happy with our choice! It's and older hotel but can't really fault it for the price. We had lunch in the Italian restaurant in the hotel and the food was really good and very well priced! The only downside is that it is... More

Just got back from one week at Comodoro, family with two kids 10 and 13. For sure this place is dilapidated, but this is not unusual for Cuba, and in fact, they did their best with what they had. We had a few inconveniences but nothing that ruined our stay. (e.g., the hotel ran out of water for a couple... More

Sea side hotel, with no beach, about 13 km. on airport side of Havana. Spacious room with good A/C, safe (2 peso/night), flat screen TV. No remote for TV even after two requests. Clean. Overbath shower worked well. Bedside lamp bulb not replaced after 2 requests over 3 days. No WiFi. Internet 3 peso/30 mins. Very good evening meals and... More

We stayed here (also known as the Comodoro Bungalows) in November last year for four nights before travelling to Varadero. I'd read some reviews suggesting it was terrible and also hinting it could be a brothel but as we'd booked we stuck with it.... We arrived quite late after a slow transfer from the airport. Check in was fine and... More

The bungalows are clean and tidy and we were lucky to have the use of one of the many pools to ourselves as the other bunglaows weren't occupied. The main pool was always busy so we didn't bother and we only had 4 days in Havana so we wanted to get into the city. It's around 10cuc one way -... More

Although the hotel building isn't in tip-top condition it is fine. The hotel is a taxi ride away from the centre of Havana-ask to go via The Malecon ! The breakfasts are excellent (we didn't have an evening meal whilst there). The best thing about the hotel was the staff though-they were all fantastic and went out of their way... More

what a neat place. like much of cuba, the hotel has seen better times but some areas show the past elegance. a little more time, money and effort will be worth the while. go here with lower expectations and you wont be disappointed. try to get a bungalow as they are near the pools. the food at the restaurant is...
