Normally, we would reserve 5 stars for somewhere luxurious with meticulous attention to detail and outstanding service. Plas Morfa doesn't tick any of these boxes, so why the 5 stars?? From the outside, the hotel lacks any real character, sitting isolated in its unremarkable grounds looking out across the Irish Sea. We reached it along the coastpath from Aberaeron and... More

Top hotel. This is the second time we've stayed here. The people who run it are great, the food is superb and the views from our room were stunning. It was so good we re-booked it for next year when we left. More

We chose here as the only place we could find between Aberaeron and Aberystwyth on the coastal path. We were at the end of the season. The staff were friendly, and the supper in the restaurent was very good. The path goes inland at this spot, instead of following the cliff in front of the hotel. More

I stayed 5 nights with my 3 year old son and despite the weather, we had a great time...and stayed an extra night. Room was great, view was good too. We ate in the restaurant on 3 occassions and found the food good too. Memorable stay in a great location with very good service. I would not hesitate to recomend.... More

Enjoyed a relaxing stay in a friendly hotel situated 100 yards from the sea. It was an ideal place for getting away from it all and I hope to go there again next year. More

Having seen one of the earlier comments about this venue we were a little apprehensive when we arrived although we need not have worried .We stayed two nights Fri and Saturday having decided to book a meal in the restaurant on the Friday evening when we arrived. The bar area was busy and it was clear than a number of... More

We stayed at the tail-end of the season when one might expect everything and everyone to be tired and worn out. On the contrary, the staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way. We hit the week of gales and lashing rain and without request were given a portable heater if the room proved cold. Of course... More

This was a return to the Hotel from 2007 and was now a big disappointment. The one night stay was enough and I was glad to get out of the place. The state of the Reception and Bar area was poor in 2007 but now they are disgraceful - not only tatty, but filthy. The Restaurant area tables and seating... More

We are really horrified with this review which in no way represents all the other reviews posted on Trip Advisor or in our comments book . We are a family run business -and have been running successfully for 20 years with many guests returning year on year. The comments re cleanliness are particularly unfair as we take pride in our... Large, bright room with 3 windows and wonderful sea views, this is a superb location, just 5 miles outside of Aberaeron. I would suggest packing your shower gel and shampoo as the 2 satchets we had on arrival, were not renewed when the room was serviced, we also got one less towel replacement the second day. The food was very... More
