Back for another 2 stays in April and both stays were wonderful We use Ty Mawr as a base for exploring the local area and also as a stop off before visiting relatives in the far west of Pembrokeshire . The food , service and ambiance are perfect , nothing is too much trouble

We had a fabulous time here. Everything was relaxed and comfortable and the people running the hotel were wonderfully helpful and kind. One day we got soaked on a long walk and they offered to dry our many layers of wet clothes in their laundry, which made a real difference. The food was the highlight, though: stunning breakfasts so big... More

My family and I took all 6 rooms at Ty Mawr for the wedding of my daughter in early April. We were made to feel most welcome. Everyone had a beautiful room with en suite. It was accessible for my 92 year old mother as the stairs are not steep. We had a good choice of continental or cooked breakfast,... More

we have visited Brechfa several times and found a gem inTy Mawr. Understated style; a wonderful ambience and food to die for. Most accommodating owners. Portia the dog is a sweetie. We have usually stayed to mark an occassion and have booked the larger rooms. No bookings for children are entertained and we have never been disappointed. Locally sourced produce... More

Really enjoyed a three night stay. Our room was spacious and immaculate and the decor of the hotel is lovely. The food was excellent and the service was also very good indeed. A very peaceful place to stay; I would go back there tomorrow!

We had an evening meal in the resteraunt whilst on holiday in the area, the food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. The lounge area with the log burner is a lovely place to have pre dinner drinks and for coffee after. The menu has something for all tastes and the desserts where very good, the coffee and fudge a... Welsh hospitality at its best - couuntry location (limited mobile phone connection) - close to larger towns and some ecallent tourist attaction e.g. the red kite project within 30 miles of the end of the M$... We have stayed here on a few occasions now as dogs are welcome - we have had birthday celebrations, New Year's eve (twice) and just because visits. A beautiful historic building, tasteful and traditional, warm and welcoming. The food is wonderful and all locally produced. A relaxing start with tea and bara brith on arrival, a good warm by the... We were testing a car and plucked this place at random from the "Welsh Rarebits" booklet. It was a great choice! If one inputs the post code into a sat. nav. and approaches from the South, from the direction of the M4, don't turn right, on reaching Brechfa, when instructed, since this will take one through a ford and along...
