We had the good fortune to stay here for two nights on our epic Hadrian's Wall walk, with complicated lifts to drop and collect us along the path and then to-and-from Brampton to eat. Our hostess was a delight and happily ferried us about. But that was just the start. The house is a wonderful experience; stuffed with Victorian and... More

My brother and I stayed in two different rooms but shared a bath. The family are lovely people and very accommodating. Because of our background, we were interested in how the farm worked and what they worked, etc. The uncle who managed the farm took time to describe for me what they do and how they do it. The breakfast... More

We stayed here for one night whilst walking Hadrian's Wall. We were given a very warm welcome, tea was made for us and an evening meal arranged for us at the local tea rooms. We were also kindly given a lift down there! The twin room we had was beautifully decorated, airy, clean and spacious. We had a shared bathroom... More

Agree with everything the previous reviewer says - very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was excellent. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Slept like a log! Not a lot of places to eat in the area although the owners were very accommodating and gave us a lift to the nearest place to eat.

This was a delightful stop on or walk along Hadrian's Wall. We arrived earlier than expected but were given a most friendly welcome. Our room was large and airy but only had a wash-basin so we had to use the shared bathroom. The beds were comfortable and warm (the weather had turned unseasonably cold). Tea and coffee making facilitiesin the... More
