What a wonderful place Alcott Farm is, peaceful, idyllic and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she is a kind, warm person where service is central to everything she does. Ideal for a few days, week or even just the one night on business. Great pub just at the end of the road and plenty to... More

Beautiful setting, warm and comfy room with wifi, plentiful choice at breakfast and eggs from the farm. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, great when you're travelling alone. Don't expect perfect decor, it's a homely farm house, not a corporate hotel! Cost £5 more than website stated, but I thought it was well worth it.

This lovely farmhouse in its picturesque setting of rolling countryside and fishing lakes is the perfect place to unwind, particularly after a business trip to Birmingham. For travellers wishing a tranquil retreat, Alcott Farm offers a warm welcome, excellent food and comfortable rooms. With easy access to motorway networks, this is my preferred accommodation for overnight stays in Birmingham and... More

Stayed at Alcott Farm for a weekend (7th Sept - 9th September 2012) - The drive up towards the farmhouse is just the beginning as you are welcomed by the lovely and tranquil sight of horses grazing and anglers fishing and the feeling of rural England at its best. Jane is a welcoming host who goes above and beyond to... More

For a farmhouse they use the cheapest ingredients for their food and have cheap quality sheets. Rude service from a tall man who worked their who had not had a shower for weeks. Should be at least half the price they charge.

I'm amazed at the reviews this place gets. 70s furnishings and decoration, lumpy uncomfortable bed, shower didn't work, no cold water in the bathroom and cheap sausages for breakfast. The price was very high. Poor value for money.

I stayed for 4 nights, 24th to 28th August 2012 and was very pleased I chose this B&B. Jane is a very friendly host, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts were plentiful and very tasty, starting with a choice cereals, large farm breakfast or variations if preferred, followed by as much toast and preserves as required. The large... More

Stayed two nights at this large farmhouse set in acres of its own grounds. Despite being near the motorway, and sleeping with window wide open there was no real traffic noise. The twin bedroom with en-suite bath was comfortable and well heated on a cold weekend. Our host Jane was very welcoming providing fresh milk for our room when we... More

Jane is a wonderful, thoughtful host, and makes you feel welcome and at ease. The room was very spacious with lovely views of the garden and farm. The bed was large and comfy. Bathroom compact but perfectly adequate. Breakfast just off the the family kitchen was fantastic and it made you feel part of the family. We strolled around the... More
