You come over the mountain pass from Isparta, a dryish valley. A couple of Marble quarries, farms and over the pass you go to Egirdir. A beautiful deep blue, sometimes turquoise, sometimes grey (and many colour in between) lake stretches out as far as the eye can see,with mountains beyond. we found charly's to be a very pleasant surprise. very receptive to western needs. the staff was most accommodating to a couple of our special requests. the view from the dining area cant be beat. i walked the island and saw the competition and was very pleased to be staying at charlys.
