We have stayed very happily in both the Meric Gites this year and had a fantastic time both weeks. We have a three-year-old daughter who loves the big pool (very safe, surrounded by a fence), the lush lawns and going for walks in the peaceful countryside all around. The owners are on-site and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. Horses... More

We spent a week here and discovered how it feels to be truly relaxed. The views from the gites are stunning with rolling farmland that is reminiscent of Tuscany. The light pollution at night is so low that there seems double the amount of stars in the sky. Marcus and Anna were superb hosts who were on hand to help... More

Having stayed in this region of France on numerous occasions I was over the moon to find Meric Gites just a couple of miles away from the sports complex we hold our training camp at. The Gites are in a lovely quiet location but still close enough to nearby towns and villages which are a pleasure to explore. The accommodation... More

Meric Gites is a fantastic place to base yourself to explore this wonderful part of France. The Gites are spacious, well equipped and on arrival were spotless. Basic provisions were provided for us (and yes - that included a bottle of red!) which was very welcoming. Marcus and Anna were great hosts - unobtrusive but always on hand if we... More

We stayed in La Chai, overlooking sunflower fields, orchards and the distant hills of the Lot valley. The gite is well equipped for families with children and dogs as well as catering for those of more mature years! We had a relaxing time taking slow walks through lanes overhung by fig, walnut, quince, plum and apple trees, swimming in the... More

We are a family of six with four boys ranging in age from 20 to 9. We loved the spacious accommodation in Le Chai, the pool and the countryside. Marcus and Anna were very welcoming and made us all a lovely meal on our first night. The gite was very well equipped and comfortable and the pool was superb where... More

Just returned from great, relaxing holiday at Meric Gites. Shared holiday with another family, who were in connecting gite and we did little, relaxed lots and really enjoyed the gites, the area and especially the pool! Marcus and Anna were great unobtrusive hosts. Gites were well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommended! More

Set in the middle of the countryside, Meric Gites are quite remote. But not having the hussle and bussle of a town on the doorstep ensures a truely relaxing holiday, one where you can rest and unwind... or as much as you can with a 2 and 4 year old! The gite (La Maison) was spacious and clean with all... More

This is a lovely gite in a beautiful area of France. The owners, Marcus and Anna are very friendly and welcoming. We opted for the dinner on our first evening and it was a very tasty 3 course meal served on our terrace. We stayed in the Chai gite which is a very spacious 3 bedroom place with large lounge/... Travelled with my parents, aunt and uncle and used Merics Gite as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The gite is nicely presented with a large open plan living area and bedrooms upstairs. Marcus and Anna were welcoming hosts, offering lots of tips before our arrival. The area is a beautiful farming district with lots of pretty medieval villages... More
