Have you ever stayed in a real European castle? This is it. Not huge but very authentic and a real treat. The rooms are 'monk like' modest but clean and could be, functional and comfortable. No TV or internet in the rooms (which is really nice when vacationing). In our case, dinner and breakfast were included. The restaurant is elegant,... More

Once again stayed at the romantic Castle Pergine over Easter. The accommodation is not your Sheraton or Hilton type, it is however, what you would want from a 13th century castle hotel. Set high on the hills, overlooking the town of Pergine with a backdrop of stunning snowcapped mountains you can't ask for more! The rooms are comfortable and well... More

My husband, our teen-age son and I stayed one night at Castel Pergine. When we arrived in town, we easily made our way to the castle, almost making the mistake of parking lower down the hill. We realized that we had further to drive, got back into the car and made our way up to the side of the castle.... More

If you want a luxurious castle with modern amenities, this is not the place for you. But if you want something that really looks like an old castle -- right down to the furniture created with dowels -- then you'll love this unique and memorable experience. The situation at the top of the hill provides breath-taking views. When we were... More

We stayed one night at the Castel Pergine en-route from the Val di Gardena to Verona, and this ended up being a real highlight of our vacation. There are signs pointing the way from all the roundabouts in town but it's also easy to navigate by sight as the castle is easily visible throughout town as it sits on a... More

Spent two nights, and can't understand why this only one star! It's clean, roomy, romantic, secluded, and breathtaking! Our room was ensuite, but don't know what one would be like without a bathroom in your room. Recommend a walk into town... we took a taxi ride back. Dinner in the castle is excellent cuisine, with an extensive wine list.

We spent two nights at the Castle in April, 2012. We were expecting 4 or 5 star service for the price we paid, and the ratings we read, but would certainly not rate the property as 4 star. Castle is immaculate, but there are no other amenities. Parking is below the castle, and reception is up hill and up many... More

Pergine Castle is not what one would call luxury accommodation, but if you are looking for a romantic castle to spend your holiday in, this is it! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but make sure you book a room with bathroom as they don't all come with one. The dinner menu is exellent and the Staff very friendly. A... More

Stayed here for one night on the way down to Mugello. Having just ridden over the alps, the Castel Pergine was a welcome sight, towering over the beautiful Pergine. We made our way up the track, under the portcullis and into the large parking area. The entrance hall is very impressive with its high, vaulted ceiling and stone spiral stairs... More

From the moment we arrived Castel Pergine enchanted us. The castle grounds are lovely and open for exploring, and the trails on the surrounding hill are also very beautiful. The staff was wonderful and we found the service to be excellent. I really recommend doing the half-board option as dinner was fantastic-delicious, incorporating local foods and done with beautiful presentation.... More
