We have stayed at a number of local places, and this one is always tops - the best overall experience when you consider price, location, amenities and nearby venues etc. It is one of the friendliest, cleanest and most hospitable places to stay at in the Addo region. The food is excellent under the Lapa, breakfast is a mix of... More

This is a lovely family run B&B that acts as a good base to explore Addo National Park. You can get picked up from the B&B by CrissCross safaris and taken around the park. Rooms are spacious and clean. In house restaurant food is excellent in the evening. Elvis, the chef, puts on a great spread. Will happily recommend.

Enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights at part of a family trip in South Africa. Its a nice base to explore Addo and staying in a luxury mud hut was fun after a week in more conventional B&Bs. The huts are spacious and comfortable, with an en-suite shower room. The food was excellent, and the staff went out... More

The cottages are large and comfortable, decorated in an African style. The decor manages to be attractive and original - without being "twee". We had the (optional) dinner at Sneezewoods (the in-house restaurant). The chef strives to present the guests with some traditional South African cuisine - we had delicious starters of deep fried mealie meal balls, boerewors, mealie bread... More

Quiet and Pleasant place an hour outside the friendly city, food to die for and a place you can relax next the pool under the african sun and very safe and secure. Top class 'mud huts' that add to the typical african style of housing with a modern twist in terms of the aircon for those extremely hot days and... More

The food for breakfast and dinner both days was exceptional, Elvis(head chef) was a truely great chef and a real character. We did the early morning river cruise, which was very memorable, seeing varios wild life,... More

I'm writing this from the peaceful grounds of Chrislin. You'll love it here. The whole place is really creatively decorated, the rooms are beautiful, the service impeccable, the food scrumptious! Also, the family that runs this place is warm, friendly and good fun!

Finding the right place to stay when visiting Addo was tricky with a number of places having mixed reviews, so we were very pleased that we picked Chrislin. A nice quiet retreat with clean spacious mud huts to stay in. Don't worry about the mud hut idea, they are great places to stay, cool and we encountered no mosquito problems,... More

We spent 2 nights at Chrislin. The place, the rooms, the pool, the garden were very nice and quite. We had dinner at the Chrislin restaurant. We were suprised by the price for a 3 course-dinner (starter = a salad, dessert= a pudding): R220 p.p.; that is about 50% over average price. Even Franschhoek restaurants were not so expensive.

We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, but are sorry to read that you thought that our dinner was too expensive. We most certainly value your opinion and regard it highly. We've always felt that we offer good value for money, considering that all our food is prepared daily on site by our skilled chef and served passionately... More
