We stayed 2 nights in bush cabin number 2 with it's outside facilities & amazing views, glamping at its very best with very comfy beds. Everything that is required for cooking/preparing a meal on the braai is there, however we opted for the B&B option which was great, fresh muffins, croissants cereals etc as well as full English. We also... More

Wow – what an amazing place, the chalet was beautiful, great size and clean. The views were amazing over orchids and a little lake! It was very peaceful and comfortable. A delicious breakfast was served on the deck overlooking the lake. Dinner was recommended at a lovely restaurant not too far away. The hospitality and service was warm, helpful and... More

We spent a couple of simply splendid days in one of the wonderful bush cabins. we arrived on a rainy day after a series of minor mishaps and major detours. it´d been a very long and trying day and we were anything but bright eyed and bushy tailed. to be honest about the last thing we felt like doing was... we spent one night while visiting addo. Its beautiful and Rob and Magda are super hosts. The rooms are large and clean and the dinner is a must. Snacks on the balcony followed by a lovely pork and lamb braai with all the trimmings and a fabulous desert. reasonable at R180 per head. The game drive is a fabulous experience... More

We stayed here recently, sadly only for one night. Our welcome was warm and friendly and immediately we knew we were on to a winner. The view from the lodge looking out over the citrus farms and nature reserve is simply beautiful. Our chalet was gorgeous too ( we stayed in the queen chalet) and the gardens are very pretty and... We stayed two nights at the Addo Dung Beetle Guest House and enjoyed it very much. Rod and Magna were so friendly that we really felt like being at home. Not to mention the food, which was delicious. We even saw three of the Big Five. We can highly recommend this place.

The details are covered elsewhere in other reviews. I just wanted to pick out a couple of things that made our 3 night stay there in December 2010 so memorable for my girlfriend and I + we loved the bush cabin, absolutely loved it. This was the first stop on a 3 week trip around S Africa and Zimbabwe and... More

I'm glad we hadn't read the review about the "GIANT spiders" before we went here, because we would probably have missed what eventually turned out to be great experience. My wife did encounter those spiders in the outdoor toilet, but the insecticide we got from Magna was really effective in keeping them away for the rest of our stay. The... More

I have to say that I didn't sleep at the dung beetle. We were looking for a simple place to sleep but ended up at the dung beetle. The very friendly manager showed us around and we have to admit that this is a very beautiful place to sleep. Very comfortable and luxurious cottages with a magnificent view. Everything that... More

I visited Addo as part of a large group, half of us stayed in the luxury lodges and the other half (myself included stayed in the bush cabins). The luxury cabins were just that, and had everything my friends needed. The bush cabins were very basic, but also very comfortable. The day we arrived the weather was dreadful and the... More
