My husband surprised me with a weekend stay at Le Verger sous le Vignes. It was great. We had a little cabin up on the hill (ask for these) with a bath. We stayed one night and it was a great place to stay to explore the surrounding areas. The hosts were wonderful and breakfast was great. We had a... More

We had a couple of nights at Le Verger sous les Vignes in Villeferry. 2 adults and 2 kids (9 & 11yrs). What a charming, delightful place. My wife checked tripadvisor and booked through latebookings, on line. We were not disappointed, and there were no troublesome wasps. It is a great spot for exploring the French countryside and towns &... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the quirky layout of our spacious rooms and the glorious surroundings in a small remote village nestled amongst hills, woods and pastures with the sound of a babbling brook as the sound backdrop to our stay. We stayed for 3 nights and we used the self-catering facilities and shared residents' areas that went with our accomodation extensively.... More

We spent four nights in the hotel (family of 5) we did not know what to expect in a remote country hotel . After our 4 nights in the hotel we did not want to leave. The staff were excellent , rooms clean , tidy and accommodating , restaurant - the best food we had in France , the view... More

We originally wanted to stay near Chatilllon Sur Seine but the chambre d'hote we selected was fully booked and the proprietor recommended this place, and I'm glad she did. It is off the beaten track in a small hamlet... if you want somewhere rural, quiet, with quirky charm then you get it in spades here. We stayed for one night... More

The village is very small, in a valley, quiet. The "hotel" is rather an conglomerate of appartments constructed out of old houses. Therefore the layout of our rooms was strange. No window to be tilted, a drawback in a souterrain appartmend. Staff was friendly (if a bit clumsy, always knocking on the door or peering in to see if someone... More

After reading the positive reviews we booked three nights but left after only one night. The main problem was the wasps. At breakfast the wasps were so bad that we were unable to obtain any jam for the bread as the jam containers were literally covered in wasps. It was a very stressful breakfast and we believed it was only... More

My husband and i stayed for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. This is a truly lovely place, really unpretentious, comfortable and welcoming. We arrived late and asked for a snack, and were instead given a four course meal, which was lovely. The food is good, but there is no menu, so if you book for dinner you take pot luck, but... More

Our room had 1 bedroom upstairs and the children slept on the sofa beds in the loungeroom. The kitchen was small and under equiped, however fine to throw together a pasta meal for the 4 of us. The rooms are eclectic and tidy, attractive, quaint. The shower was very nice, with lots of water pressure. THE best memory of our... More

We stayed just one night here en route through France. It is a charming set of buildings in a lovely peaceful location. We were very pleased with our choice and would definately recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle. We had a very nice breakfast which was included in the price of the overnight... More
