We just stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful campsite. Our site was spacious, the landscape was breathtaking. The staff was more than friendly; it seemed no one was working, they all just enjoyed being there to ensure we had a wonderful time! The haystack ride with Gary and Amanda was lovely for the kids, John and his crew at... More

This was by far the best campground our family has ever been to. The entire family was entertained by the horses, wildlife (moose + coyotes), marshmallow roast, and my husband was entertained with a quad rental. Fondest memories, cleanest site, friendliest staff, beautiful horses and relaxing. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Wish we could have stayed... More

We stayed in the Larkspur Room of the lodge, one of the only two "rooms" you can get there. The rest of the place is camping and cabins. The price of the room was great $95 a night - a steal of a deal for Grand Lake. The room was clean, had a microwave, coffee and small frig. It does... More

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Our campsite was remote-feeling, but the bathrooms/showers were very clean. The best of both worlds. Additionally, Grand Lake is a great little town, when you get tired of hot dogs, and has fun activities going on. The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is basically in the campground's backyard. So, we had a... More

Our stay got off to a bad start as we arrived at 9 pm and the cabin door was locked. With no way to contact the owners or a campground host, we almost left. However, we lucked out to find someone who knew the owners, who showed up soon and let us in. From then on, they tried very hard... More

My family and I had a great time at this ranch twice now. We love it! The first time we camped in a tent and really enjoyed their cowboy-style breakfast and horse-trail ride. This time we stayed in the Little Log cabin, but the breakfast was unavailable at this time of the year. It was still fun and the cabin... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Winding River Resort in August of 2011 and absolutely LOVED Winding River Resort and Grand Lake! First of all, the placement Tripadvisor has on its map for Winding River is not accurate. This place is right above Grand Lake on the road into RMNP, very short car ride into the main street but far... More

Winding river is a wonderful place. Last year we took the trail ride with our family. This year we decided to ride the sleigh ride. What a fun night, complete with pillows and warm blankets AND a dog in the front who just loves to ride along. After the ride, hot chocolate and marshmallows we waiting around a warm fire.... More
