We hiked up to LeConte in 2006 and I'm still giddy at the memories. I love this whole adventure. Hiking to the cabin, the delicious food, wine, etc. In the morning we got up early and hiked over the ridge so we could watch the sunrise over the mountains. Beautiful. I would definitely go back. More

LeConte Lodge is clearly not a conventional hotel any way you look at it. No electricity, kerosene lamps, community bathrooms, etc. But being able to spend the night on top of Mt. LeConte can't be beat! The meals were much better than you could ever expect for a place like this. The cabins were comfortable and the food was very... More

Let me first say that if these accommodations and this food were offered in Columbus, Ohio or Minneapolis, the rating would be only a couple of stars. But when you get a comfortable and quiet place to sleep, prepared meals, and scenery at the end of a six-and-a-half-mile hike, this rates out at a top of the line experience. We... More

Considering the basic fact that the only way you can stay at the LeConte Lodge is by hiking at least five miles up a mountain, makes this one unique B&B for Eastern US. Situated very remotely near the 6593 foot peak of Mount LeConte, in the middle of the Smoky Mountain National Park, the lodge's rustic accommodations will transport you... More

This is an experience that I would recommend for everyone. I have hike LeConte 13 times now. I have stayed in the lodge twice and the shelter the other times. Travel back in time to a rustic mountain setting with wooden cabins, spectacular views, and no electricity. I have seen grown men weep after making it to the top, after... More

My wife and I have hiked every trail (Except Brushy Mountain which isn't one of the normal trails) up and down Mt. LeConte in the past 20 years and loved every time--even in the rain and snow! We've hiked up in shorts and down in snow when the temps changed drastically and at least twice in solid ice and snow... More

We took the Alum Cave trail in about 3.5 hours to get to the lodge. We were SOAKED when we arrived but no worries.... as someone else mentioned on TA there was a new sign posted that directed people to the dining hall if you arrive before 12:30. We walked to the dining hall and were handed our cups so... More

After a few trips up the mountain--some things stay the same and some things always change. The lodge and staff are excellent and helpful - the menu stays the same, the food is excellent and an unending glass of wine for $9. The weather and the experience is different every time- but always fun Sometimes it rains, sometimes it is sunny,... More

It rained most of the way up the Rainbow Falls trail and all the way back down the Bull Head trail, but it was still magnificent! The staff at the Lodge are very helpful. It was quite refreshing to be at a place that has no power, TV, radio :) The food is excellent! I highly recomend it More

My husband and I were able to get in after a cancellation, and were so glad we did. The hike to the lodge is as diverse as it is beautiful. Just difficult enough to make you think you really accomplished something! We were so pleased with everything once we got there. The staff was wonderful, the cabins were clean and... More
