Lizard Creek is the northern most CG in the park. It's also the quietest. Many of its sites are practically on the water. The views are great. Drift wood is plentiful for camp fires. A mother grizzly and her cub were rumored to be in the area, but I never saw them. All encounters with them had been peaceful.

We returned to Lizard Creek campground on June 20th, 2009,for the second year in a row. Other than a different site, the experiance was as good if not a little better than last year. I loved this place. The facilities were clean and functioning (running water, flush toilets, no showers). The campsite was private enough and the staff was friendly. The views of Lake Jackson from the campground were tremendous, I plan on staying here again. The only downside was a layer loose dirt on the camp site,
