Granted, one doesn't go to GNP for the hotel accommodations, but this place is absurd. I understand that these rooms are antique, and that they are intended to capture the taste of the era they were built in. We are okay with the fact that these rooms are run down, cramped, archaic, and outdated. We visit the park every 2... More

Thank you for interacting with us here on TripAdvisor. So that you know, I would like to take a minute and explain a little about the unique circumstances that control the price of the rooms at all of our properties inside of Glacier National Park. Although we live in a capitalist society where the law of supply and demand are... More

We visited August 2011. The hotel was under construction and only half of the hotel was being rented. We were too late to book, but we did visit there several times for their breakfast buffet and for some of the boat tours. We were there early one morning for a boat tour. As we approached the hotel from the parking... More

We spent a week in Glacier Park staying at all the lodges the second week of August 2011. The beauty of this park out- weighed any other. It was breathtaking. We rented a paddle boat when we arrived in the afternoon because our room was not ready. The snow top mountains mirrored an image in the lake. We went horseback... More

This is the ultimate spot to be if you love the beautiful outdoors. This hotel is an antique and should be appreciated as such. People who want to sit in their rooms in easy chairs to read need to stay somewhere else. This hotel gives you a sense of history and the most amazing place to enjoy God's incredible creations... We visited Glacier National Park a couple of years ago. The Lodge was beautiful, although antique. We had rooms on the top floor, so watch the ceiling. You really aren't in Glacier National Park for the hotel accomodations, anyway. During the time we were there, the elivators weren't working so, you can imagine, what it was like, lugging luggage up... More

Oh wow! Thank you for taking time to leave us this feedback, even though it sounds like you stayed with us quite a while ago. Since your stay, we have renovated many of the rooms, and the place looks great. Just a quick tip, put those bellman to work! They would be more than happy to carry your luggage for... More

This is pleasant accommodation well located in the park. It’s a short walk from a decent café, restaurant and gift shop and provides basic facilities which is what we were looking for in the park at a decent price. Feels a bit like halls of residence and the walls are thin and the rooms tight, but this is a national... More

We didn't actually stay here - we stayed in St. Mary's up the road - but we did eat supper here one evening. Be sure to ask for a window table with a view of the lake - the view is worth eating here all by itself - and a reservation doesn't hurt. The evening we ate at the hotel,... More

First off, I'd like to point out that most of the complaints on here are from people who have no idea what they're getting themselves into when they come to Glacier National Park. Personally, I came to this hotel to be in the most remote location and to HIKE. I didn't come here expecting a five star luxury hotel with... More

The Lodge is typical of many of the National Parks we stayed in. The Lodge is located on the shores of the beautiful Many Glacier Lake. Sunsets are unbelievable on the back patio. The lobby is grand. The rooms are ordinary. Our room was large, but had no easy chair for reading. There was no where to read and the... More

Thanks for interacting with us on TripAdvisor. I’m very sorry that your stay with us was not as accommodating as you expected. Please keep in mind that the historic lodges in and around Glacier were built at the beginning of the last century by the Great Northern Railroad and were completely modern for the times. A stay in them today,... More
