We ordered the salmon for dinner and were very pleased -- after we had to send back two cold plates of food. It was made right in short order, and the waiter was grateful that we alerted them to what was going on in the kitchen. The portion was satisfying, and the mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables were also good... More

We had scheduled the day before for the Denali Park Salmon Bake to pick us up at the train terminal. When we arrived no shuttle. When I called no answer. Waited a bit called again. No answer. Met the only other couple at the train depot who said they were waiting for the Salmon Bake and the shuttle was on... More

At first i thought it's good. But later it's like 48 buck for 3 king crab legs, which are not really as big as it suppsed to be. This is really disappointing. Maybe denali is too far from the sea? My friend ordered halibut, which is really tiny portion of the fish too and it's no cheap. Later we went... More

My wife and I stayed at another establishment but had heard good things about the Salmon Bake restaurant. After working up a good appetitie at the Denali National Park hiking we headed over to the Salmon Bake. A very rustic and uneven place (this was actually the bright spot). We ordered the Halibut because the Salmon is only served for... More

Looked for a cheap sleep close to entrance of Denali Park. This fit the bill. It has a great location and very spartan room but much better than paying triple for a hotel down the road where you are just in hotel to sleep. Room was clean and shower was hot. The restaurant was a big disappointment. If you do... More

I have traveled worldwide and trusted the website for this set of "Cabins". Man was I wrong!!! I rented their "Luxury Cabin Suite" for well over $250/night. I arrived with my daughter and two grandchildren. Not only was their "Luxury Cabin Suite" NOT a Luxury Suite, nor was it a cabin. In the very fine print of their add, they... More

We stayed here for two nights in August 2012 in an ensuite cabin. The price is pretty expensive ($150 per night) but cheap for the area. The princess lodge across the road is a tease because it looks so much more inviting, but it is $250 a night. The cabins are basic and quite dated - "rustic" if you like.... More

We ate here on a trip to Denali and while the food was relatively good, we found their integrity to be rather shallow. After drinking nearly 20 drinks for our table of 4 (and intentions to drink more), we were approached and told that we would have to be leaving at 11pm, as we did not pay their $10 cover... More

I had an amazing time at the Salmon Bake and recommend it regularly to friends and fellow travelers. I arrived during the summer months and it was a surprisingly happening spot with all the imported summer help. A memorable experience to say the least.
