The cabins were expensive compared to some others around but overall were nice. The breakfast buffet was good and our two kids ate free. People may complain about the cabins' size but we had no issues with them. Overall, it was fine and I'd stay here again.

We had three rooms in the lodge. I was not especially impressed with the majority of the staff at this location. One lady was really nice, and one of the waiters in the restaurant were really nice, but other than that - eh. Situated just outside the park, this was a great value compared to some of the other hotels & cabins in the area. The room was pretty tiny, but the website made that clear from the beginning so we were expecting it. It was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the cedar lodge part of the "Denali River cabin" which was kind of confusing when you are coming in trying to follow the signs which do not say anything about the lodge part and since there is a separate lodge in the same turn off.
