The location is beautiful with elevated cabins joined by boardwalks with views across Bynoe Harbour. However the place is poorly cared for and the rooms lack basic facilities. Our room had leaking taps, no where to hang clothes or towels, no tea and coffee making facilites and not even any water glasses. The food was poor. I had the sea... More

The venue is delightful. The sand flies are relentless. The lack of facilities is astounding for the prices charged. No TV (no big deal), no phones (ok, maybe we don't need them), no kettle in the room - we brought our own coffee, sugar and milk, but STILL couldn't have a coffee a daybreak. The rules !!!! No eskys in... More

The scenery is beautiful and evenings spent sitting on our beach front balcony were devine. Rooms are comfortable and clean but basic. We had 2 beach front rooms with a very thin common wall. All the rooms and restaurant are joined by raised wooden walkways and the wildlife is abundant. The food was surprisingly good but glad we brought our... More

I won't recommend this to anyone - I was asked by a friend if I would recommend for him to take his wife there and I said 'no'. You can't make yourself a cup of tea/coffee in your room, not allowed to prepare meals in your room, not allowed to have eskies in your room, there was wildlife in the... More

Found Crab Claw Island not quite up to calling themselves "Resort" but none the less a beautiful spot to explore. Staff not overly welcoming. Didnt try to promote what they had on offer, you had to just know these things or find out yourselves. Food ok, plenty of cold beer. Rooms pretty basic but didnt expect much more, nicely situated... Yep, it's Crab Craw, because that's how it often comes out, and we're sticking with it. Along with my husband and two friends, we spent two great nights at CCI. As with the previous post by KarksB, we had a pretty darn good time. Unfortunately we didn't catch any fish, nor did others who went out each day - maybe... More

This place is about one and a half hours from Darwin - on the Bynoe Harbour. Rooms are very comfortable (not flash) - air conditioned and have comfortable beds and a fridge - restaurant is open early to late and the food is VERY good. Cabins are right on the beach and the sun rises are to die for. The... More

This was the best holiday ever - owner Jax Campbell picked me up at Darwin airport and from that point on did everything she could to make my dreams of a fishing holiday in Australia's Top End come true. Coming from New Zealand I am used to fishing trips where one or two decent fish make a good day's fishing... More

Midgie bites unbearable, Rooms very basic and you have to turn your head sideways to wash your face or clean your teeth in the small attached bathroom basin. Over the top for what it costs. The boat ramp is a disgrace and cannot lodfge or retrieve under 4M tide More

We loved this place!! However it is not everyones cup of tea.. It is about an hour out of Darwin sometimes only accesible by 4 Wheel drive as the creeks can get abit high. We went out with our own boat and did some great fishing and crabbing. The facilites are clean and well presented definately for the outback, the... More
