We stayed in the Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse between the 26th and 30th May. Gudrun and Valur were excellent hosts, greeting us warmly when we arrived, recommending restaurants and places to visit locally. The guesthouse decor is homely with stunning views from each room (we were in the South room) and the new renovations provide a nice seating area looking over the... More

We stayed at Minna-Mosfell for 3 days in mid May as we began our Iceland adventure. It was an experience like none other. It is hard to find anything new to say about Minna-Mosfell that has not already been said many times. We concur with everything already said. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable and spotless. But,... More

This guesthouse is quite simply wonderful. We stayed here on 31st May for 2 nights and are still touring Iceland as I type! I stayed in the East room with my partner. It was spacious and immaculately kept. The bathroom and kitchen are shared, and both were also very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with basic food, tea and... More

The warm and welcoming owners, Gudrun and Valur, makes this a very special place to stay. You could not ask for better hosts. Also you get the most beautiful surroundings, nice clean rooms, homemade bread every morning (and everything else you could ever want for breakfast) and the best location if you want to explore some of Iceland´s most famous... My family and I just got back from an amazing week in Iceland. We spent 2 nights at Minna-Mosfell and I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a serene and authentic experience. The valley where the guesthouse is located is picturesque and the owners are beyond kind and hospitable. From the fresh baked bread each morning, to the... More

My family and I (4 people) had the pleasure of being the first guests to stay in the guesthouse after their remodeling. I was originally planning a 7 day vacation around Iceland. When I got there and told Gudrun about it, she expressed concern and told us that any area that wasn't southern Iceland was still experiencing winter (I didn't... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 days and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were Clean, the hosts pleasant, helpful, and very generous with their time. They even arranged for us to visit a friend´s sheep farm when they found out I was a veterinarian! I highly recommend this guest-house.

By far, the best of B&Bs we have stayed at on a 5 week vacation in the UK, Belgium, France and Iceland. All six were very good to excellent and in our opinion, a much better deal than hotels. What make Minnna-Mosfell so much better? **The country of Iceland and its people to start. Everyone we met are friendly and... More

We stayed here back in mid March, just taken a while to get round to reviewing but I had to backup what everyone else says; this place is amazing and Gudrun and Valur are the perfect hosts.. The fresh baked goods are as good as people say, the rooms are lovely, the shared facilities are great and the kitchen is... More

Location is in the beautiful countryside next to Laxnes horse farm in a very relaxing and peaceful valley.
