Lovely location and nice chalets set amongst the trees overlooking the Indian Ocean. Food not spectacular, but it was OK and nice to eat ouside by candlelight. Nice pool and grounds. Great base for trips out to sea to see the Blue Whales and dolphins. We'd stay there again. More

The main issue at this fabulously located small complex is the fact that you HAVE to take half board and the evening meals really do leave quite a lot to be desired. Palace Mirissa offers peace and quiet from the overcrowded Mirissa beach. The bungalows are well spaced in a large park thus offering privacy without spoiling the beautiful countryside. We were very lucky just walking in and being able to stay here for three nights. The bungalows are very nice, the view is beautiful. They have a lovely swimmingpool which is very quiet. The food is ok. This hotel is very good value for your money (70 euro HB). More

First of all - brilliant location up on the point - up a steep hill but less than five minutes to the beach. All villas are well spaced apart and had a low impact feeling. we stayed at the palace over night while we were on tour with slimlne tours the rooms were reat , the views from our rooms were great , we had an evening ael which was ok , after we had our meal we decided to have a walk along the beach , i love the beach at night so piecefull.... More

The review title refers to the fact that Mirissa Palace, two weeks after we had checked out and settled our bill in full, in error credited our bank account (used to make the deposit) with the bill amount. Generally, there isn't much value for money in this area of Sri Lanka, so it's hard to be down on the Palace for cost (we paid 70 euros). What there is to be down about is how much of a waste this place is. Granted, it's not right on the beach, but it's in a lovely spot on a hill... More
