The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in followed by an excellent breakfast. Thought it was a bonus to order the night before as it was freshly cooked at the right time. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Will return for sure.

We had a wonderful time at The Forge and were made to feel welcome from the very start. The whole place is spotlessly clean and efficiently run by the Rushbrooks. The Chequers opposite was also superb for food and drinks in the evenings. We didn't get to meet Assumpta, but hopefully next time. We had a very happy three night...

Me and my partner stayed her for a long weekend, it was absolutly brilliant lovely staff food was great I couldn't find a fault we the room great value for money. Glad I dint listen to other peoples reviews as they obviously didn't have a clue what they were going on about and being pickie and pathetic. I will definatly...

We have stayed in other places in the Cotswolds but nothing matches up to this place for us. Debby and Martin are excellent hosts and we were greeted like old friends. We decided on a change of room and we stayed in room 2. We loved this room but would not recommend if very tall as the shower itself is...

I have stayed here and found the service excellent. Clean rooms and free wi-fi. Even a nice "egg" fridge with fresh milk! The transfers were good and car well looked after.
Recently I had to amend a booking because the airline cancelled a flight.
The manager was extremely flexible and responsive and I would not even look for an alternative...

Rooms were in the roof, which intruded a little asn I'm tall. Did not bother my other half. Comfy beds and lovely decor made up for it.
Breakfast was top class and the pub restaurant over the road is fab. Parking on site and close to "chippy"
It is a tiny quintessentially English village in the countryside. No night life...

Stayed in room 1, with a very large and comfortable double jacuzzi (it really does take 15 mins to fill as the sign warns!). Excellent bed. Traditional decor with Morris prints but not chintzy. Lovely and clean, welcoming and everything you need for a weekend break base. Enjoyed the pub across the road and happily emptied the biscuit jar both...

Beware, this part of the Cotswolds is rather pretentious. It features money, personalised number-plates and snooty people. Having stayed at several B&Bs in the area, the Forge is our preferred overnight stay when we vsit our daughter on a nearby estate tied-house. The B&B is down-to earth, comfortable and welcoming. Martin and Debby Rushbrooke run an excellent establishment. Martin carried...

Good service, polite and helpful owners, great location and decent breakfast. Pub over the road over-rated but it was a Sunday so maybe should have expected a very restricted and boring menu at Cotswold prices. Didn't really mind over-looking the garage (much) as you can't have great views all round but others should be aware that the 4 poster in...
