I can heartily recommend the Riverview chambre d'hotes, both to younger and older travelers. It is a hidden treasure in a small, quiet village not far from Avallon, with very relaxing atmosphere. Very peaceful location in hamlet, cool and attractive bedrooms and wonderful hosts. From the very warm welcome and knowledgeable local information Maureen and Leo provided a fabulous base for our brief exploration of North Burgundy. The review title says most of it. Very welcoming, we were instantly at ease. Accommodation is good and clean. Maureen and Leo's knowledge of the surrounding area is very good whether eating out or finding places to visit. Ideal as a base for exploring the area, as we did, or as a stopover.
