“Calhau, Very Quietly Place”

If you want a quietly, sunny and nice place, yuo must have to come in Calhau at Blu Marine. You can hear the sound of sea every morning.... it's very sunny, you can walk to the praia granda, sandy beach and more.... the apartment are very confortable, yuo can have a barbecue neraly the beach, on the moon light

Don't stay in Calhau on Sau Vicente. There is nothing there, no facilities. dreadful windswept beach. To get any shopping means hiring a car or an aluguer ride into Mindelo. Mindelo is great. Stay in Mindelo! Mindel Hotel looks good (check other reviews?) Nearest nice beach is Baia da Gatas 11 kilometers away. Evening strolls impossible as there is no... More

I am sorry that you did not appreciate the quiet atmosphere of Calhau. Some people do prefer the city life. It is a shame that you did not make the short walk to the fantastic beach at Praia Grande or the walk through the village to some great snorkelling spots. “The perfect getaway”

Beautiful accomodation in the ideal location for a quiet break, the apartment was spacious and well presented, the staff were great, what more can anyone ask. This is a quiet spot but there were lots of island trips available, so no time to get bored. Can't wait to go back again.
