We loved this friendly welcoming chateau. Our room 1900 was beautiful with views over the garden at the rear. Breakfast was lovely fresh fruit, cheese, yoghurt and apple juice. Leisure facilitiea a bonus with a dip in the hot pool and sauna a real treat. The hosts were warm and helped us to book our restaurant in Roye and drove us... More

On our way to Auxerre we stopped here. Although we announced we would arrive late there was no problem with that. We were received quite cordially by Dominique. Perfect rooms (suites) and a wonderful breakfast next morning. We were sorry we could not stay a little longer to see the historical sites in the surrounding. The location is ideal because... More

We stayed here (me for the second time) as a family - 2 adults and 9 & 7 year-old kids - as a base for visits to the battlefields and museums of the Somme where we had had a grandfather/great-grandfather serve in the Great War. A great location and warmest welcome possible - wi-fi worked for us in the potagers... More

Stayed for two nights B&B while visiting Somme battlefields. Chateau was very well kept and hosts very welcoming. Wifi didn't work, but otherwise no complaints. Ate at le Florentin in Roye, which was excellent. More

The chateau's potager cottage was chosen as a base for my wife and I and our two grown boys, one of whom was studying for a term at Universite de Lille. As the location is half way between Paris and Lille, we were able to visit both cities a number of times and have the boys stay with us for... More

We have just moved to France and it has been a hectic couple of months. This was a weekend that the doctor ordered. We stayed in the Cottage de le Pottager and it was fantastic from start to finish. My wife had just returned from a trip away and it was a late and wet Friday night, as we drove... More

Spent nearly a week at the château which we used as a base to walk and drive around parts of the Somme battlefields. Véronique and Dominique de Thézy have created an excellent B&B - comfortable, stylish and very relaxing. Their breakfast is a great way to start the day. We stayed in the large Louis XVI room which has the... More

I don't think we have ever stayed in holiday accommodation we liked more. We were in one of the chateau's cottages - the potager cottage. It was beyond perfect. It was beautifully equipped and so tastefully decorated - combining ancient and modern. The children liked the rainbow lights in the jacuzzis they had in their beautiful en suite bathrooms !... More

Great place with old time charm, and a great hostess who always tries to please. Very comfortable rooms, well furnished, and with great views of a park at the rear of the building that one can seat outside and enjoy it, when the weather is good. An ideal location for exploring the Somme war memorials, not in the heart of... More
