stayed there in july 2011. was reading the other reviews today. the ktchen was useless - food very limited , rooms horrible - beach none the AC was not working and very noisy, the rooms were too small for the price we were paying

It's true that Sandy Bay is located near the beach,but the ambience was exactly opposite to what is shown in the pictures in the website.The rooms were poorly furnished,walls discoloured,spotted bedsheets,lamps were dusty,cable connection wasn't functional.Behavior of staff not pleasent at all,infact non-cooperating!!Food quality was not up to the mark .In a nutshell,the rooms,services were not worth the high amount... Hotel Sandy Bay is the worst hotel in Shankarpur. 'Morning Shows the day'. The receptionist is a worst person I ever met. Rooms are not up to the mark. Food charges are very high. Room service is good. Attendance's are good. But the receptionist gentleman, I think he is the in charge of the hotel, he is a worst person.

Stayed at Sandy bay and enjoyed the brief trip. Hotel staff were nice and simple. Sea-facing AC room...small but tidy. Lunch, dinner and breakfast - all were decently good. TV was not working, but overall stay was comfortable and memorable.

Sandy Bay is situated very very near to the sea beach. I booked this hotel because of its excellent location. Hotel has AC rooms and some of them are sea facing too. Rooms are small but nit & clean. We ordered Bengali and chinese food in the restaurant and food was too good.
