This place is a gem. So nice to eat dinner, sleep, eat breakfast in one location. Marvelous dinner. When the walker who had come down with a cough ordered hot water with honey, the sweet server brought a large glass of hot water, honey and a slice of lemon studded with cloves. Miracle cure? More

We stayed here for the second time recently. We wanted to go away for the night, the day after our Wedding and the Hollow Bottom was everything we needed; quiet and comfortable with 5* food. Our room 'Earth Summit' was fabulous, with a separate sofa and en suite. The pub is very rustic, traditional and homely, the open fire making... More

We booked very last minute and got a fantastic deal on the room (Bindaree Room GBP49). Tricky to find the pub without a map or a GPS (we were relying on Google Maps...) but easy to find our way back to the main roads the next morning. The pub was everything we expected - rustic, charming, fire going, cosy. The... More

Several stays at this place. It gets better and better. We stayed in the Bindaree room independent from the pub (converted coal shed). A great job done! We had our dog with us which was ideal. Huge bed and wet room. Very cosy but spacious. Good value for money. Pub great, food great. All staff amazing especially Fi and Hugh.... More

Our plans had us staying only one night. We were given a room in a separate building out at the back of the property, i.e. there was only the one room in this small, newer building. That was a really nice touch. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, and had all the amenities one needed. The privacy and... More

What a wonderful place to stay. We were well looked after right from our arrival to our departure. We almost felt like it was our own home, without having to do the chores. We arrived on a grey day, to a warm welcome with lovely Cheddar Valley scrumpy and Fiona even worked at getting my netbook connected to the wi-fi... More

I was looking for somewhere special in the Cotswolds to take the wife for her birthday, and also somewhere dog friendly that combined food and the chance for me to have a few shandies. This place seemed to fit the bill. There are some reviews on here that make much mention of the noise from the bar, and staying in... More

Wow! What an excellent review. Thank you so much, it really means a lot to us to have real, honest, opinions on here for everyone to see. The Hollow Bottom is less like a Public House B&B, more like a homely hotel! We loved it so much, we stayed an extra night. We were shown to our room 'Earth Summit' at the front of the house and it certainly had the wow factor! (ignore the flowery bedrooms on Expedia as all have been refurbished) A huge room... More
