Despite my self inflicted navigational challenges (this place is easy to find when you know what you are doing!) I really liked this park. Staff were very helpful - especially with advice on parking at Salamanca Markets. Amenities maybe not the most modern but clean and functional. Definitely close to Hobart without the noise. Wish I had tried the pizza... More

We based ourselves at Barilla to do things around Hobart and surrounding areas. Great enclosed individual sites, clean amenities, well priced. Unfortunately a swing and slide doesn't really cut it for a playground area for children. And they was a lot of things laying around the place which made it look quiet untidy. Reception staff very friendly and informative.

We pre-booked two nights here, from the UK, many months before embarking on our Tasmania campervan trip. Stayed here at the end of our tour and what a lovely place it turned out to be, and despite being 'full' our booking was all in place. Nice, flat, concrete hard standing, powered site. Good facilities and very helpful and friendly staff.... More

Although we werent staying in the Park, we called in with the kids to use the private thermal pool and have dinner. The pool was really good value, a great set up. The receptionist was lovely and so helpful. But what I really want to rave on about was "Nate's Pizza, Pasta & Bistro". The prices were GOOD, the service... More

We couldn't have had a better reception from staff, the ladies at reception were exceptional couldn't help us enough with directions info on everything we needed to know I would definitely stay longer next time, the pizza was delicious and staff were very friendly. I found the park to be immaculate the powered site we had for our motorhome was... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. 6 adults and 2 children. We stayed in the number 1 cabin and it was more like a house. Quiet big and enough room for everyone to move. It was in a good location, 15 mins to Hobart, 5 minutes to Richmond and nice and quiet. A few wineries just up the road too!... More

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst on holiday from Sydney and could not fault the food in the restaurant one bit! We ate there each night and between the 6 of us, we tried most things on the menu, and I must say that every bite was gorgeous. I guess we didn't really expect that from a holiday park!... More

We live locally and have previously tried the takeaway food from this caravan park (Nate's), which was very disappointing. So after 18 or so months, we tried again and wish we hadn't! This place is truly awful. The food is ridiculously expensive and I've never seen so many staff, so totally unorganised and so totally unhelpful and unproductive in all... More

Don't miss Nates Pizzas and Pasta they were fantastic!!! Our cabin was clean but old and tired and very basic. Heater didn't work and we were cold. When walked through cabin everything shook. Mini golf was good fun and Park staff very friendly and helpful. We left something behind and were very prompt to contact us and let us know.

We were tere with our own campervan. For 30$/night (unpowered), we didn't even get a proper camping kitchen which worked or a bbq place. Even the key to open the barrier after hours was only handed to us after insisting that we need it. The restros were quite ok. When we complained about the missing cooking failities, they offered us... More
