Five of us stayed here at the end of April for three nights to celebrate my Uncles 80th birthday. Huxtable Farm is a beautiful small holding set in a pretty, peaceful location. Jackie and Anthony were lovely hosts and made you feel very at home-nothing was too much trouble-we were able to decorate the breakfast room and Jackie gave us plates... More

Having stayed in many BnB's around the country over the years this is possibly the best yet. From the warm welcome with a home made cream tea, to the magnificent breakfast, to the cosy charm of the rooms & decor it all felt so right. Breakfast was like spring watch (didn't see Bill Oddie though) with live cam views of... More

What a wonderful place! Our stay here was excellent. The rooms were comfortable with extra thoughtful touches. The welcome was warm and we were served tea and scones on our arrival which was just what we needed. The breakfast was one of the best we have experienced. Lots of choice and all freshly cooked to order. The situation is stunning.... More

. . .for five stars. There is really nothing not to like, or love, about Huxtable Farm and its owners. (Except sometimes the weather!) The farm complex is attractive and flowered. There are friendly dogs. The rooms are very well furnished (including bathrooms) but have kept a period feel; somebody has very good design sense! The welcome was warm, the... More

Huxtable Farm rightly deserves the 5 star rating that most reviewers have given it. It is surrounded by fields and woods on all sides and is accessible by a lane that leads only to the farm. This makes for a very tranquil setting, peace and relaxation is guaranteed. The surrounding woods and fields are ideal for delightful strolls; you can... More

We could not find fault with this stay. The welcome was warm and Devonshire scones and tea were served up on our arrival without asking. Our room was cosy and warm, with the old buildings a delight. Breakfast was a proper home farm one and the best of our walking holiday staying in some 12 different places. Recommended without hesitation

Jackie and Anthony go that extra mile to make your stay memorable. We stayed over the Easter week-end. Nothing is too much trouble and if you are interested in the animals they will happily show you around and answer questions. They even made sure we got to see a lamb being born and chicks hatching. Our second visit to Huxtable Farm and the magic remains. A warm and friendly welcome from Anthony and Jackie ably assisted by their two dogs. The welcoming cream tea was much appreciated. We had a very enjoyable two night stay at Huxtable Farm. Our room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfasts are as good as you can get. Great hosts who made us feel very welcome. A great rural location but close enough to allow us to visit the nearby beaches at Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Westward Ho! and Croyde.... More
