What a shame that in the service industry, a motel has chosen to employ reception staff with an offensive disposition. The head female receptionist was so rude and condescending as to gain a reputation amongst all of the guests staying at the motel. I was attending a debating tournament with about 30 other guests from around the world. We were... More

Having stayed here for 6 days recently, I can understand why this motel has ratings spread across from 1 to 5. Here's my take on it: Pros: 1. Room is nicely appointed and very spacious. It has king sized beds and has all the amenities - flat screen TV, phone, mini fridge, microwave, bowls, plates, and utensils. This comes in... More

I have read other reviews of this property, which are less than complimentary but my stay was pleasant. I enjoyed the outlook over the marina (distantly); the room was spacious and well appointed; bed and pillows were comfortable; everything seemed pretty clean; reception staff were fine, and helpful when I needed to work somewhere until my room was ready. There... More

The motel enjoys a monopoly in the area which is probably the only reason it is still in business. I stayed here once before a year ago and found them rude and unhelpful. The room was adequate though. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I booked a room again today. My flight was late so I rang them on... More

I stayed here with a friend the night before her wedding and the room was perfectly fine! We had 8 ladies in the room for a pamper night and we all fit in comfortably. We also had 6 ladies in the room the next day preparing for the wedding. At times I needed to borrow scissors, a ruler, a clean... More

This is truly a quirky place! "Basil and Sybil", your less than accommodating hosts, are apt however to take your stay from quirky to simply irksome. It is beyond me how owners could unleash such a pair on the unsuspecting public. They are rude, singularly unhelpful and completely lacking in insight. As to the Motel - it is something of... More

The motel was rather tricky to find but the previous reviews helped with that. We stayed here to be on the south side near the ferry to Moreton Island. We found the reception staff quite pleasant and helpful. We did not have any special requests, just a normal book in, with an early departure. Our room was on the first... More

Manly Marina Cove Motel is a modern motel located in the grounds of the Royal Queensland Yacht Club - it is a little difficult to find if you're not a local and reception closed early - 7pm - so ensure you arrive before then or know what to do to gain access to Motel. Bayside location - ask for an... More

Our experience of this place was one of disbelief. The managing couple need a serious lesson in customer service. My husband and I stayed at this motel for our daughter's wedding which was held across the road at the Royal Yacht Squadron. My family flew up from Adelaide and Melbourne the day before the wedding and they also stayed there.... More

I travel to Brisbane each week. I have stayed in alot of places and eventually found Manly Marina. I have probably stayed there 30 times since then, in almost every room. The price is comparable to other motels of similar standard in Brisbane, but most of those will not let you cook in your room and do not have their... More
