Having traveled around France for nearly forty years I thought that the days of superb French cuisine at bargain prices were gone, I was wrong. We arrived in the snow, so the outside staircase to the rooms was not the best start, but the rooms were warm (like the welcome) and we enjoyed a warming cup of tea with fresh... More

A rustic auberge, set in attractive surroundings - the restaurant and rooms are set around an extensive garden with a river flowing past, creating an attractive and peaceful setting. The rooms are spacious, and equipped with tea/coffee making equipment (bring your own milk), the furniture has seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and the duvet and pillows clean... More

A little haphazard but a nice location in the village near the forest. Slightly tired rooms but clean, and good portions of traditional French cooking. Slightly variable wi-fi but they looked after our bikes well. Excellent value overall.

On our way into Dieppe we came across this restaurant and decided we did not want to struggle to find a restaurant and park. The meal was excellent, service very good and the Grand Marnier Souffle memorable. This was the best value meal of our trip to France. If you wish you can eat outside and the garden setting is very... More

We stumbled across the restaurant when staying in nearby Dieppe. We wanted to get away from the tourist-oriented restaurants and limited choice there and figured a drive to Martin-Eglise would do the trick. We certainly were not disappointed. For dinner, the restaurant has two fixed price menus (€25 and €33) and no a la carte selections. However, there is significant... More

There are many bigger. But this hotel is set in the most idillic of locations. Full of rural charm and an unspoilt structure. Service is exceptional with every request being dealt with in an friendly and efficient manner. I've stayed at all the rest, but for the past 18 months, I've opted for the best.

This is the 3rd year we have stayed at this auberge and we have seen the owners making changes. During our previous stays the food was very good although in a rustic manner. This time it had changed to fine dining and we could only describe it as excellent. The accommodation was more than adequate and we will shall certainly... More

We stayed here to break the journey between the Channel Tunnel and the Normandy peninsula. Our room was in the annexe, large and well appointed with bathroom (no separate shower), separate WC and French Freeview telly. All very clean and modern, everything worked with plenty of hot water. Restaurant is made up of 2 rooms. A light and airy formal... More
