Frankly you wont get a more authentic experience than this one ! Majuli is a highly recommended destination, being the cultural cradle of assam. Access to and from Majuli Island takes time. The roads are bad, the ferry crossing takes 70-90 minutes excluding the loading time. So if you do a day trip it means leaving the Joghat area by 5am or earlier to make it to the first ferry at 6.30 arriving on the island after 8 am. You then need to catch... More
