We have just returned from a three day stay at Coopershill. this is a simply sublime place, a totally relaxing location and we highly recommend staying here. Our hosts Simon and Christine were fantastics hosts and could not do enough for us even getting up at six am to make us breakfast (normally 9am) as we had to unexpectedly return... More

We followed a long winding drive to our destination, Coopershill. This was our third trip to Ireland and our first in County Sligo. Simon warmly greeted us on the doorstep and we entered into a house that is truly a step back in time. Our room was delightful and overlooked the beautiful fields in front of the home. Plush terry... What a pleasant place to stay:) Real hospitality with the owners Christine and Simon -- right down to the conversations in the drawing room after dinner. We loved that the house is still furnished with the original furniture and also the history of the place. We really enjoyed the charm and the four poster bed and the home cooked meals.... More

Simon and Christine are the perfect hosts and the old Manor is one of the nicest that we have stayed at. It is on a working deer farm with acres of beautiful grounds. Christine is the chef and she selects fresh foods daily and provides a wonderful menu selection. Even tho it is in the country, it is so restful... More

From the time we booked until we checked out we were treated like friends and nothing was too much trouble. The house is steeped in character but unlike alot of old houses everything was spotless. We highly recommend. More

I stayed here with my now fiancé. I actually proposed to her here and with the help of the stunning, breath taking rooms, the blissfully relaxing feel of the place and the overwhelming welcome from the staff helped to ensure she said yes! (that and my charm, good looks and muscles etc....) we will definitely be back! More

Unlike many Country House Hotels that are just hotels in the country this really is a house in the country. The family provide a warm welcome with very good accommodation and food and it ia away from it all. If you want night life or a busy bar its not for you; also as it is more a house in... More

Coopershill in beautiful Co. Sligo is a magnificent Georgian house which has been occupied by the O'Hara family for seven generations. Simon O'Hara (and Alice the dog) welcomed us to his home and made us feel completely at home. Nothing was too much trouble. And he was a mine of information on the area. There are just eight rooms, all... More

As soon as Simon greets you at the door you instantly relax into this beautiful country house. It is much more like staying with friends rather than booking into a hotel. This is the place you go to when you need to chill - cut yourself off from the hustle and bustle with no TV, radio or internet (but don't... More

Having spent several days visiting Georgian country houses, it was a treat to drive up the long winding road to Coopershill, through beautiful woods and pastures, and discover that we were staying at the most handsome of all houses that we visited! Coopershill is a stunning palladian-style villa finished in 1774 that has been beautifully maintained and beautifully furnished --... More
