I thought resorts like this one had all disappeared. We found the hotel to be spotlessley clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel was a bit pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even extended by a day to make the most of it. I would definitely go there again.

The hotel is not near Tsangarada but right on the beach at Agios Ioannis with only a quiet harbour road between it and a beautiful sandy beach. So do try to get a sea view. I tried sofocles hotel because it's near mountain pelios. Too expensive for offering almost nothing. Horrible breakfast and rude staff, especially in reception (the owner). Don't try o stay there at least in August!!!

First, the hotel is at Ag. Ioannis, by the sea, not actually in Tsangarada which is up in the hills. On a car tour of eastern Greece, this was one of the better places I stayed in.
