Lovely comfortable neighborhood hotel, we could have stayed here for a month. The hotel has garden, truly beautiful. The owner and his son are very helpful. Breakfast is nice also. The area has several delicious restaurants and bakeries along with a few good shops. The beach is not too far, a car would make moving around much easier.

Very nice hotel, simple with beautiful pool in an Olive Garden. Owner very helpful and polite. Need to have a car to go around . Few restaurants in walking distance .
Internet average but available, small old TV In the room, but who cares for TV on vacation. All rooms have air conditioning. I will recommend the hotel. Breakfast available for a good price. I will definitely stay again

Our stay at the hotel was extraordinary. The owners were friendly and willing to help us in anything. The cosy atmosphere made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were clean and the service excellent. The location of the hotel is stunning and it is ideal for people who seek quiet and calmness in their lives. It is close to sightseeings and there is a direct access to the beautiful beaches. There is a bus station near to the hotel in order for someone to visit the city center of Chania. The pool is big and clean and there is special space for children. I recommend it without doubt to everyone.

We drove into an unassuming and virtually identical hotel expecting very little, but imagine our surprise when we encountered, first of all, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, a gorgeous and secluded pool where only hotel guests swam and well kept grounds with green, luscious lawns, banana plants and various other fruit trees. In our room near the pool we could hear nothing but the sea (occasionally), no cars or people affected the serenity.

This is a great place to unwind and to use as an HQ for adventures further afield aided by the young man at the reception who has a plethora of maps and advice to impart.

All in all a beautiful, lovely place.

We stayed here for a week in mid September. Our plane was a late arrival one so we didn't arrive at the hotel until 11pm but we were given a warm and friendly welcome, a choice of apartments and food recommendations. The next day, Thanasos - the ever helpful and friendly receptionist - gave us lots of recommendations of where to go, how to get there and where to eat. Every single one of his recommendations was spot on! Even when and where to visit in Chania for souvenirs. The room was simple, but spotless and very comfortable. The pool and surrounding olive grove was an oasis of calm. Breakfast is included - it's nothing exotic, and is the same food every day but there is a good selection.

Tavronitis is a world away from the big resorts and crowds they attract. The beach is a quick walk away - it's pebbly so usually quiet and has a great taverna overlooking the sea which serves tasty seafood (we highly recommend the octopus!). Tavronitis has a couple of tavernas; we stuck to Caneva because the food was excellent and super cheap. The village is easily accessible from route E65 - the main road - which meant getting to the beaches on the West & South is super easy. Also Chania is only 20minutes away. The people we met everywhere - from the apartments to the market in Chania were friendly, eager to be of assistance and not pushy! It was a wonderfully relaxed break. If you love exploring a country and eating fabulous food then we cannot recommend this place enough! We are already planning a return visit very soon. Thank you Lycasti for such a wonderful stay!!

Nice well mantained small hotel with big rooms/appartments. Great for families with nice swimming pool.
Unfortunately, the beach is not very close and the road to go there is ugly. Car is mandatory since the village is very small. All palm trees of photos have died and the swimming pool is a bit naked with not nice views of ugly syrrounding buildings.

We stayed at lycasti the last time we visited and the experience made us return. Imagine our delight when we arrived that our host Thanasos remembered us! The apartments are basic but comfortable and are cleaned daily. Breakfast is the same everyday but the lady who cooks it also experiments with Homemade fruit compot - such as lemon or orange & cumquat. The pool is surrounded by a lush orchard - we even ate ripe sun warmed peaches plucked from the trees. The grounds are really well maintained and there's a pool bar which serves drinks and snacks. Although the music (ub40 and simply red!!) wasn't quite what we wanted to listen to on repeat!

We've loved our stay again and highly recommend people visit! We'll definitely come again.
