Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing two week stay in Villa 5 at Kookis Village. The accommodation was kept absolutely spotless by the lovely housekeeping team and we enjoyed using the private pool and being able to cool down in the air conditioned bedrooms with very comfy beds. Kookis Village is a 5 minute stroll to the seafront with lots of lovely Taverna’s to choose from. There are also late opening local supermarkets within easy walking distance. When my husband realised he had left a few items behind by mistake Antonis was really helpful in getting these sent to friends staying in a neighbouring town.

Very clean, proper, well maintained houses with private terrass and pool in quiet surrounding, but very nearby centre and sea, where you can rent a boat or go on a trip . At the house, all you need available, including pool, good, silent airco, kitchen, etc. Great host welcomed us and make you feel more than welcome. Breakfast was super with on the balcony nice view. All with all a super experience! Thank you Antonis, at Kookis Village.

I can’t begin to explain the tranquility of Kookis Village and just how amazing the staff are. Athena and Nico were friendly and attentive and set out our breakfast each morning on the balcony. We had bed and breakfast but have an autistic son who is a fussy eater - I told them to just serve breakfast for 2 as not to waste anything but they made him little pizzas each morning, they will never know how much this act of kindness means! This was above and beyond. The villa is cleaned daily - another amazing gesture as usually villas offer a couple of times per week. All the families around were respectful of each other and there was no excessive noise or loud music. First time to Zante and will return.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing and sunny week to relax and Kookis Village fitted our requirements perfectly. The accommodation had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean, private and with our own swimming pool. All of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Excellent breakfast if required and a short walk to the sea front for a variety of good restaurants. We had a perfect week.

1st time back after the pandemic .. this is our 6th visit. It’s amazing. It is still wonderful. I was worried that after 2 yrs away I may have been remembering this place through *rose coloured glasses*..I need not have worried..it is still a wonderful place we both feel rested and have had the best holiday.. Yes there are cats ( I am allergic) ..have a water bottle to hand and this always deters them . Athena and Maria work hard daily cleaning your room and towels and bedding are changed every 3 days or so . They are always cheerful. If you have a breakfast with your holiday … these are a feast and set you up for the day. So glad to have been back to our happy place .. a really wonderful relaxing comfortable clean gem of a location. Antonis and his staff are always helpful ( oh yes our pump for the pool broke ,.. all fixed within 24hrs and all was good ) and always pleasant. This was a special place for us ,,, would always recommend and always go back. Can’t wait for next year.

These 7 lovely villas are located on the edge of a small, quiet harbour resort away from the bars and other noisy attractions that can be found in the larger resorts in Zante. The villas are homely, spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, a covered veranda to relax on and a small refreshing pool to sit beside and take a swim when the heat turns up. Breakfast is the feast, as commented by others, meticulously set out on your veranda. A special thanks to Nik and especially Athena for their cheerful "kalimera" and "kalo proino" along with a few other greek sayings Athena tried to teach us during our stay. Everyone at Kookis Village, both family and staff, were so welcoming and polite and do a great job in attending to the villas, gardens and the guests. One example being that we mentioned it was a special anniversary the following day and Nicky suprised us with a delicious chocolate cake with '40 happy years' iced on the top along with candles and a sparkler. There were also flowers from their garden and many good wishes from everyone. It was so thoughtful and made our day! The villas are about a ten minute walk to Keri Limni with its small harbour, beach and a selection of tavernas/restaurants looking out towards 'Turtle Island'. When we visited, it was the perfect place if you want a relaxing holiday. Yes, there are stray cats (who looked particularly healthy on the scraps provided by the guests), and they do tend to congregate around the verandas at breakfast. However, we didn't find them troublesome, although we tended to keep our front door shut in case one wandered in. Some other small and positive points, free air con in the lounge and bedrooms, free security safe and free parking outside under the olive trees opposite. Also, fly screens to the windows (including the bathrooms, bedroom and kitchen) meant we could keep the windows open without the fear of letting in flies etc. Towels were offered to be changed every day, and the beds changed every three days. The only thing that did go wrong for us was that the pump for our pool stopped working, but this was rectified with a replacement within 24hours. A huge thanks to all at Kookis Village for making our special Anniversary extra special!

Very nice homes not far from the little beach at Keri on the island of Zakinthos. We enjoyed very much the private pool; the clean house and the delicious breakfast prepared by Nikki and Nico always served on our terrace. The owner family was very friendly and helpful giving us hint where to go. It was late season and we were the last guests at Kookis Village and we left with tears in our eyes. Hope to come bqck soon again

This was our first time to Zante and Kookis Villas, but we will definitely return. It was exactly the quiet and safe holiday that we needed during the current pandemic. The villas are spacious, clean and have everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely villas, friendly owners, lovely clean pool, comfortable bed, etc. BUT don't stay here if you are allergic to cat hairs. I am, and it spoiled my holiday. Whenever they got a chance the cats sat on all the outside cushions - dining chairs, sun loungers, even the doormat. They came into the house if you left the door open. The worst bit was that I didn't realise at first that the cushions were covered in cat hairs, so I sat on them and spread them all over the place. Once I realised I could put a towel on top. Shooing them away made no difference - they are obviously used to visitors feeding them, and there was no point in complaining because there was nothing the owners could do at short notice as there are so many cats living there. Knowing in advance would have made all the difference. In fact, I wouldn't have gone there at all.

We had a lovely holiday staying at the Kookis Village. It was my partner, our 15 month old daughter and myself. The owners were great and onsite so you could have breakfast delivered to your patio or as we did just visit the local supermarket and bakery. We would like to say a big thank you to Niki and Antonis's mother who went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We had a car so we traveled around the Island which was stunning, we visited the shipwreck beach and took the boat to the beach which was stunning. We also visited Zakyntos town and surrounding areas all of which were easy to get to.
