It's so sad staying at the Aloha now (first stayed here 12 years ago). Lazy management is allowing terrible maintenance & cleaning to strangle any potential this great location and nicely designed building should be enjoying. We upgraded to the top room - the very large 'executive suite', and spent the next 3 days trying to just get basic maintenance... More

After arriving to the Aloha and viewing our room which we had upgraded prior to arrival we were so disapointed that we asked to change rooms. The only room available to us (although the hotel was not at full capacity) was the one and only 'executive suite' We upgraded to this room due to the fabulous huge balcony which has... More

Staying at Aloha right at this moment. It doesn't look as it does on pictures from the web. Not to be surprised though since this is always the case in Thailand. Superior room: spacious with balcony. One double ort two single beds. Two chairs and small table. Bathroom good. Walls need repainting due to moistproblems. Flatscreen tv with Mary channels... More

My family, which includes my Australian husband, two children aged 9 and 11 and myself (Norwegian) stayed at the Aloha for one week in mid January 2012. We were a bit hesitant on the background of the mixed reviews we had read. There was no need to worry. We stayed in the family suit, two large bedrooms and a massive... More

My wife and I, together with our 27-year old daughter and her fiance, stayed at the Aloha for the week before Xmas as part of a package booked through the Malaysian budget airline Firefly. It proved an excellent choice. The hotel itself is quiet, but within easy walking distance of the amenities of Lamai Beach (which is less crowded and... More

We had a great stay, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke really good english. We had mountain facing rooms which were spacious and we had a large balcony - not much of a view but how often are you in your room anyway? There was a large variety for breakfast which was always nice and plentiful. The... More

Stayed at Aloha Resort, Lamai Beach, Koh Samui in August and had a great time. Resort is at end of Lamai Beach. Right on beach one side and walk out to road on other which had restaurants and good shopping. 711 across road. Breakfast was good, rooms were big and we had interconnecting rooms which was great. Booked day island... More

Between the strict towel restrictions, rooms last updated 20 years ago, very boring breakfast, the unhelpful staff who pretended not to speak English and extremely thick algea in the fountains around the hotel, we were left tremendously disappointed for four days of our honeymoon. Not to mention that this hotel's website misled us into thinking that it was modern. I... More

We have stayed here for 17 nights. Our room was quite allright. Location was great. We met several people we want to meet again - for example Liam in the pula bar. The massage girls next to the hotel, The Reggiebar near the hotel. We liked the friendly hotell - not a luxurous hotell but nice anyway. We will come... More
