We stayed here for a friend's wedding and, wow, were we impressed!!! It's really beautiful, everything about it is absolutely perfect, we'll definitely be recommending it to all our friends as a perfect place for a romantic break.
The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable, SPOTLESS (ignore reviews saying this place isn't clean, I'd sooner eat off their floors than my own!...

stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding. the staff were extremely helpful, the front desk is manned 24/7 and the location is great. The food at the hotel is priced very well and is excellent.
The location is in the middle of one of the best wine-making regions in the world, and there is a golf course for...

Went to the Relais Monforte for a wedding party in September 2011. We stayed for 3nights in a room on the first level overlooking the pool and vineyards, mountains beyond. It was thoroughly lovely.
Room: spacious, new furnishings, everything worked (free wifi too), very very clean (there were 2 cleanings as far as we could tell, 1 in the morning...

Although still going through an upgrade the hotel was a very pleasant place to be and the work was being done discreetly.

The pool was perfect temperature and clean.
Only minor glitch was departure - we needed an early breakfast, with the in-room hotel guide saying breakfast was available from...

Relais Monforte d'Alba sits atop a picturesque hillside just outside of the small village of Monforte d'Alba. We highly recommend Relais Monforte d'Alba...

We like boutique/design hotels quite a bit, and were looking for something in the heart of Barolo wine country. We were traveling with our children, aged 9 and...

We stayed here for 4 nights last November, during truffle season. We couldn't really figure this place out - it seemed to be trying to be a golf & wellness resort, but hip & modern at the same time; I'm not sure the two go together anyway, but in this case we felt it wasn't successful. Maybe it needed some...

This place is incredible!!
We booked the room online, and I let them know that if they had a suite available, I would like to upgrade, as it would be our honeymoon room.
Soon after I got a reply that they did not have a suite, but I was given a junior suite, and they informed me that a bottle...
