The hotel was clean, bright and modern. Reception staff were friendly and uninstrusive. Was a little difficult to book the room by email / fax (although as usual I was expecting everyone else to speak English!) but was worth perservering with. Hotels in Iceland can vary from expensive and high end to the more common underwhelming. Hotel Hellissandur is neither. A great hotel in a place with few other options, Hotel Hellissandur shines as if it were competing against fancy competition. Clean modern rooms. Great restaurant and awesome staff! More

The only hotel in the farthest West of the peninsula. The room was quite nice and the bathroom very good. The restaurant which is the only one in town was very good with a nice multiple course meal. This was a great location for sightseeing in either direction on the peninsula. More
