We stayed for 2 nights in September. The staff were very welcoming and well organised. The food was good, especially when you consider where this place is. However, the tented hut was not as well set up as other ones we stayed in, and very hot. The sand dune drive was N$850 each. There were only 4 of us on... More

The staff, food, service, guides and location were all great. Roomy tented accomodations with mosquito nets and attached baths built from stone. When we flew in on our charter and passed over Kulala Wilderness Camp, I was amazed at the beautiful, isolated location of the camp at the base of a hill in the desert. But do not underestimate the... More

We stayed in this place in summer 2010 for 4 nights with two teenager in the age of 12 and 15. What makes this place really special is the location. It sits just by itself on the side of a small hill with great views to the west on a desert valley. It's a good location for visiting Sossusvlei as... More

The staff at the camp were exceptional and very friendly. They really made up for the bad service and administration at the Cape Town office where out trip was booked through. Really thoughtful they arranged a sundown drive for my husband and I as we were on our honeymoon. But that was sadly that was it for honeymooners. Not recommended... More

It's a great location, the staff are lovely and the rooms are very nice. It's great being in the middle of the desert. But it was so unbelieveably hot when we were there (late November) that we couldn't sleep. The rooms aren't air-conditioned, so with day-time temperatures in the low 40s (celsius), it was stifling. The nights were not much... More

Kulala Wilderness Camp sits on a hillside in the middle of nowhere. The landscape around is vast, arid and seemingly lifeless until, sitting in your private tent looking out on the plane, you are taken over by sounds, smells and the enormity of the scenery surrounding you. Each room is spacious with a verandah overlooking the plane. Bathrooms are well... More

Kulula is a perfect place to stay to really get a sense of beautiful Namibia. Easily reachable via self-drive (you don't even really need 4x4, if in rainy season, I would suggest). The staff was top-notch. Kulala is one of many from Wilderness, and they have a philosophy of training local people (rather than like the many German owned and... More
