This hotel was a charming place next a beautiful trout stream. We opted for a riverview room with a balcony which gave us great views of the town, surrounding hillside, and the church. We arrived around 11 but our room wasn't quite ready so we were led into the lounge area. The lounge featured a great wood fireplace with somewhat...

The Hotel overlooks the river, we loved leaving the window open and falling asleep to the sound of rushing water each evening The rooms were basic but quite comfortable and very clean. This is an ideal location to explore many of the surrounding villages and the Basque countryside. If you stay here, do hot miss dinner in the hotel dining...

Have stayed several times at this hotel although quite a long gap between visits.
Had a lovely room overlooking the river with a pretty pool available just across the bridge.
Eating outside was a joy although I felt the setting deserved a more varied menu - I love french/basque food but struggled to find a dish that realld wowed me.

We stayed in this hotel a week ago, for one week.. We had stayed there in past years also. The room over looked the river, it was lovely to wake to the sound of the water in the morning.. It had a little balcony which was nice. The room was quite basic, I was going to move but the other...

Set by a trout stream in a mountain valley with a village nearby, it has given us several happy and very restful stays over recent years. The food is truly excellent. We have used the demi-pension option because we have not found a menu item that we did not find delicious, and have discovered things to like that we would...

A lovely location in the village of St Etienne de Baigorry. The room was spacious, well furnished and serviced to a high standard daily, with a terrace overlooking the stream. We stayed demi pension and the breakfasts and dinner were of excellent standard. The hotel is very well run in a traditional french/basque style.
Most enjoyable stay and we will...

We stayed here for 4 nights in early Augsut 2011. The hotel is delightful - quiet, charming with very attentive staff.
Our room was spacious, simple and opened out to a small balcony overlooking the river Nive. The hotel itself is positioned next to a river with a large terrace for dining, a swimming pool, tennis court and a number...

We stayed for 4 nights and had a marvelous overall experience. Our room on the "premier etage" overlooked the river and the view and sound of rushing water were a delight. We had opted for the demi-pension approach and the fixed dinner menu was uniformly excellent and the service very attentive--though a house salad option in lieu of the cheese...

Super spot by the river with a small number for lunch. We were kept waiting for ages to even order a drink with several waiting staff being expert at avoiding us. Eventually we had to go and find Madame in the office and our order was taken with somewhat of a grump. The food was lovely and the location made...
