We just came back from 4 days of skiing in Champoluc (jan 18th to 22nd). Weather was not optimal all days, and especially an unusual high wind closed us out from the majority of the area. We spent a lovely weekend, in the friendly company of Giachomo, the owner of the Rifugio. The place is very clean, and comfortable! We were staying at the Rifugio for 3 nights and it was a perfect setting. Friendly (young) staff and nice dinners. You need to be able to get to and from the Rifugio by skis during the day.
