Stayed 2 nights at the Kawaguchiko Station Inn: The inn is located directly opposite the Kawaguchiko train station which may not be so obvious due to the signage. Once crossed the road, there is no problem locating the inn. A traditional inn with tatami and simple layout (table and tv), you have to carry luagges up to either the 2nd... More

My friends and I stayed in Japanese Style room for 4 people on April 19, 2013. Hotel is very near Kawaguchiko Station. We only cross the road. We paid for Japanese breakfast at hotel. It is good value and quality. Owner is very nice. He adviced us how to eat seaweed with rice in Japanese Style. The room is warm... More

We stayed here in April for 4 nights, it's the first time we stayed in a traditional Japanese hostel. We were a bit shocked at first glance of the room - there were only mats and a small table in the room - we thought we had walked into the cupboard..anyway, the staff were great, they transferred our bags to... Superb location opposite Kawaguchi-ko railroad station. Friendly and helpful staff. Internet lounge in basement. Good showers. Hotel looked pretty old, worn and dated. A bit of an Eastern Bloc (Soviet) feeling. Excellent Japanese breakfast for 700 JPY. About 20 min walk to lake.

Immediately across the road from the station, with a room that looked out at Mount Fuji and a hot tub that did the same - we were very pleased with this little place. 5 star luxury it isn't, friendly, handy, clean, good value and Japanese it is! Take my advice and try the Japanese breakfast - worth every last one... More

The room was really spacious, the wifi is good, overall very happy during my stay there. Unfortunately during my 2 days stay, the cloud covered mount fuji since early morning til late in the evening, so I wasn't able to see the mount. However, the room and the onsen bath upstairs paid up everything. Highly recommended.

Kawaguchiko Station Inn is situation right across the Kawaguchiko station … barely 2 minutes walk away. Furouka-san ( the hotel Manager and owner, I believe ) had been so helpful in providing related web links for travelling from Tokyo. I arrived on a rainy day, totally disappointed because Mt Fuji was not visible at all but, the warm greetings and... More

Our group of 4 booked a private traditional Japanese room at a reasonable price. Booking was pretty much hassle-free through Hostelworld - the inn recommends booking through this portal. Email correspondence with the station manager was also prompt and he was very polite. Checked in at 6+pm and there were no problems. Our room had a very traditional ryokan feel... More

We stayed at Kawaguchiko Inn recently on our trip to view the autumn leaves. It's a small traditonal Japanese inn, clean and most convenient location in Kawaguchiko. The train and bus stations are just across the road. Staff were helpful. We got the room that facing Mt. Fuji and were very lucky that it's in full view on both days... More
