We were put into a room that was very luxurious. Marble flooring and two large beds. Plus a sitting area and huge bathroom. We enjoy our entire time there in this smallish city. Easy to walk. No TV, but we did not even think of it. Had a wonderful dinner and left the next morning...would highly recommend this place...you will... More

Every hotel we stayed in had its own charm and this one really did! We had such a welcome with camels, horses and drums! Beautiful hotel but not for the unfit as there are many steps. The buffet was served outside in candle light! The rooms were very big and we had a four poster. There are no televisions, but... More

just an amazing atmostpheric hotel. The welcome was great right from the man in full regalia sent to escort us through the village compleat with spear to the friendship bracelets ,blob on the head and garlands. To then go through small courtyards and hear drums, to be greeated by men on beautiful horses and camels with huge drums. Just fantastic!We... More

The hotel is a renovated palace and still feels like a palace. The rooms are large and the graonds wonderful. It would have been nice to spend a day by the pool. The food is Ok but nothing special. The locatoin is perfect for this small town. The beds are with four posts and have a board at the foot... More

The castle is an old building with very different types of rooms all done out with old furniture you feel you are stepping back in time. our room was comfortable but fairly basic but one of our group had a large room with a swing in it, a corner bath and a lot of greenery in a room ensuite so... No Internet. No TV. Dinner in dining room was excellent. Hotel has good location for exploring the town. Town has some beautiful old buildings that are painted with murals on outside but many are deteriorating because of the damp weather.

on arrival at dusk this looked stunning and we looked forward to a couple of nights. our tower room was quirky and nice but it has the most uncomfortable bed of our whole three week trip and sleep was somewhat deprived due to the constant noise of mostly pigeons that, once the lights were out, can be seen silhouetted against... The castle is a spectacular building with very interesting architecture. We were in Rm 402 which is right at the top of the building and on its own just about. Great deck areas you can walk around and look over Mandawa. The room was large as was the bathroom, don't use the shower as it floods the bathroom, use the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in February 2013...high tourist season with most guests staying for one night before rushing off to their next one night stop. We have stayed in far more comfortable and beautiful hotels in Rajasthan. Our room was fairly basic - buffet lunch and dinner were good, but the place felt like a tourist factory. My wife... More

This was the first stop in Rajasthan. The place itself is amazing in terms of architecture and the city environment. It is indeed a castle but the amenities are rather "bare". Lots of staircases, up to 4 floors which is a bit heavy for older people with back problems. Food OK and service in the restaurant fully acceptable. Big room... More
